I look forward to seeing how many of you are using SWX, what issues you're having, and what you're developing. Come, say "hi", hang out, and meet other SWXters.
I had been holding off on setting up a mailing list for SWX because it was very early days and I was very much heads-down focussed on developing SWX itself. As we stand on the eve of the release of quite a mature Beta 1.2, I believe it's time to open things up a bit more.

SWX is extremely nice, I intend to use it for a few upcoming sites, but only if the AMF server/gateway is ported to Python, is there a concrete date?

Thank you for your kind words — I’m glad you’re enjoying SWX
About the ports: I am currently working on getting an RFC and a porting guide written to ensure that all ports support the SWX format fully and that SWX applications can work the same way on any platform that they are ported to. Once this is complete, I will be coordinating the setting up of teams to port SWX to Python (there is already some preliminary discovery work that has been done on this), .Net, J2EE, and Ruby.
There is not concrete date on this today but I intend to get moving on this very quickly.

I’m trying to figure out how to do the following:
I want to get a list of all the twitter-remarks made by all the people that are following me.
When using getNumFriendsUpdates, I get all the remarks made by people who are my friends, but that’s not what I’m trying to achieve.
Any ideas?
